Where are you Mom? When I look at Google Maps it seems you are stranded on a boat in the middle of land. (A text from my son David)
The Tennessee River is a relatively narrow river and extremely winding. We have traversed up the river or northeast and now are returning southwest down the river. Somewhere in there is another time change but I will be watching for it this time.
A conundrum:
Navigation charts concentrate on the waterways and highway maps concentrate on the roads, and “never the twain shall meet”.
The little blue lines on a highway map representing rivers are deceiving. The rivers are often larger than depicted. The navigation charts ignore roads entirely and rarely tell you if there is a town nearby.
Therefore: A question only we can answer. “Where are you Mom”
Emmanuel, the dockhand, drove us in the Marina golf cart up the continuous hill where we caught the Free Trolley to market square and the bi-weekly farmers market in Knoxville.
An hour later, laden with fresh vegetables, focaccia and home made cookies we headed back to Dream Seeker but were waylaid by the General Mast Store. It had everything you would ever need and especially some warm clothes. It is still cold here.
Denny has been struggling with another engine problem for about two weeks. Sheared bolts that hold the coupling to the shaft are cluttering the engine room floor and we are running out of replacements at a rapid rate.
After much pondering and experimenting, he is trying another solution. Will the problem be alleviated by increasing the size of the bolts? The trip south today will be the acid test.

Another Dream Seeker, Great Loop accomplishment .. the ENTIRE Tennessee River .. from one end to the other .. 600+ miles each way ! !
Also, glad you all have gotten into some Fall colors . . . .

It’s Neyland Stadium, not Keyland!! All good Vol Fans know that😂😂. They may be bad this year, but their time will rise again😂.

And great places to restock your provisions.
(With apologies to Vols Fans…
UK will meet you & beat you-I hope- in Lexington this year-Nov. 9th.
My dad & uncle played for UK… my parents went to the UK/Vols game for part of their honeymoon in 1940~)
