Music was playing, the evening balmy, the sunset golden, and we were having our farewell dinner with Anita and Terry at “The Fish Shack”. The visit was short in duration but long in fun; they were reluctant to try one of my favorite card games but they did bring the sunshine and warm weather.
Bill and Sandy aboard Impulse 2 (fellow Loopers) joined us for drinks, we met them in South Haven and we will be following the same path for a while, both of us trying to make it through the Illinois River Locks before they close for repairs September 23.
I wonder how kind Lake Michigan will be to us during our last sojourn across its occasionally malevolent waters. We are heading to Chicago in the morning.
I wish you calm waters!

The only thing that doesn’t change in your blog. Is having drinks. Lol.
